We, the Italiana Relè Srl company, strive to protect the privacy of our customers, suppliers, employees and collaborators and are responsible for the security of the data of those Data Subjects. We have also implemented a policy of clarity and transparency about the information we collect and about the use we make of such informations

This policy establishes the following:

What personal data are collected and processed in relation to the existing relationship with us or through our website:

  • Where we collect the data;
  • What we do with the data;
  • How we store the data;
  • To whom we transfer or disclose such data;
  • How we are treating the rights of protection of the Data Subjects;
  • How we comply with data protection regulations.
All personal data are collected and processed in compliance with the Italian and European Union Laws on Data Protection (GDPR).

Data Controller

Italiana Relè Srl, as a limited liability company based in Cormano, via dei Bravi 40 (MI), Italy, registered in the register of the Italian companies with registration number REA MI881426, is the "data controller" of all the information collected and used in relation to its own Customers and other Data Subjects with whom relations are maintained as described under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 679/2016.

Types of Data Collected

Personal data means all information relating to Customers or any other Data Subjects permitting us to identify it, such as: first name, surname, company name, address, VAT registration number or other fiscal references, payment terms and, more in general, anything else may result necessary to establish and maintain a relation with Italiana Relè.

We may collect Personal data from any subject in order to establish business relations with us or when individuals contact us via our website or by post, fax, etc.

In particular, we could collect the following categories of information:
  • First name, surname, company name, postal address, fax or e-mail address, telephone numbers, tax and VAT numbers, account numbers or other payment or personal identity references.
  • Information sent to us via our website.
  • Communications sent to us via letters, e-mail, fax and telephone.
  • Information relating to the economic-financial situation of our customers, exclusively taken from public and official sources, solely for the purposes of assessing the commercial risk.
In general, we don’t collect data on the health of the Data Subjects, their criminal position, religious habits, sexual inclinations, or other data considered as "sensitive" under applicable data protection laws.

For which purposes Personal Data are used, why and how long

The collected data can be used for the following purposes:
  • To Provide the requested products and services.
  • To contact Data Subjects in the event of changes or to inform them about their relationship with us. Such communications shall not have marketing purposes, being always an integral and essential part for the execution of the requested service or the maintenance of the existing relationship.
  • We use the requested information about bank accounts or any other payment information only for accounting and billing purposes, as well as to verify the solvency of debtors.
  • The collected data are used for administrative and accounting purposes as a result of precise legal obligations. Any use of such data for marketing purposes and any kind of data profiling on our part is excluded.
  • We may be obliged to provide Personal Data collected from Data Subjects to customs, tax and other competent authorities in charge for controls, both in Italy and Abroad.
  • Communicating with the interested parties through the collected Personal Data, in order to improve the quality of the existing relationship.
We shall treat all personal data of the interested parties only if there is a legal basis for doing so. This legal basis depends on the reasons for which we collected and use such personal data, depending on the type of relationship existing (customer, supplier, employee, etc.).

In general, we may need to process the Personal Data of the Data Subjects in order to fulfill the requested or existing service or even for one of the following reasons:
  • To perform the requested supply or service;
  • To respect a legal obligation;
  • To protect the environment or the health of the Data Subjects or other people (for example in the event of a medical emergency);
We shall avoid to store any data for longer than is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and processed. To determine the appropriate retention period, we take into consideration the quantity, the nature of Personal Data and the purposes for which we processed them.

We must consider, however, the periods for which we may need to retain the Personal Data in order to comply with our legal obligations, respecting any legal and administrative provisions regarding the obligation to keep such data. As a general rule, these obligations don’t exceed ten years, unless it’s possible to identify any legal alternatives to reduce this timeframe.

When it’s no longer necessary to keep the Personal Data of the Data Subjects, we will de- lete them or destroy them safely, using methods and technologies in compliance with the modern safety standards. However, we will always evaluate if and how to decrease the amount of data stored and the storage times of the same.

Personal Data Security

We follow strict security procedures for Personal Data storage, in order to protect them against accidental loss, destruction or damage. The data provided via the web are protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. SSL is one of the most widely used data encryption standards, allowing them to be securely transferred over the Internet.

We may transfer data to trusted third parties only for the purposes related to outsourcing of accounting and administrative services. We require all third parties used to adopt appropriate technical and operational security measures to protect Personal Data, in line with the Italian and European legislation on data protection rules and regulations.

However, we don’t transfer data outside the national and European borders, with the exception of those contained in the tax and customs documents accompanying the exported goods, as a result of precise legal obligations.

Sharing of Personal Data

The Personal Data of Data Subjects may be shared with the following third parties for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
  1. Government authorities, law enforcement agencies, Italian and foreign customs authorities, limited to the countries involved in exporting and importing of our products.
  2. Service providers and trusted consultants we use to manage our business, such as lawyers, tax consultants, safety and labor consultants, quality control bodies, etc
  3. Courts and law enforcement and security, limited to any obligations arising from our business activities.
  4. Italian and foreign banks, limited to the management of receipts and payments on our behalf.
All personal data collected are stored in paper format or, if in electronic format, inside our own company servers located within. The possibility of storing Personal Data abroad or using servers and ‘cloud’ services or similar technologies is excluded.

Data Protection Rights

In certain circumstances, you are legally entitled:
  • To request if we have your Personal Data and, if so, which kind of information we have about you and why we process it.
  • To request accessing to your Personal Data. This will entitles you to receive a copy of your Personal Data in our possession and to check its correctness.
  • To request the correction of your Personal Data in our possession to amend any incorrect or incomplete informations.
  • To request the deletion of your Personal Data. This entitle you to obtain the removal of your data if there is no longer a valid reason to continue keeping them.
  • To withdraw your consent. In the limited cases in which you could have given consent to the collection of your data (for example in the case of sending requests for information via our website) you have the right to revoke it at any time. Upon receipt of your notification of withdrawal of consent, we shall cease processing your data for the originally agreed purpose, if that is not contrary to another legitimate basis.

You will not be charged of any cost to access your Personal Data or to exercise any other of the above rights, unless the request is clearly unreasonable or unjustified. In which case we may even refuse to comply with such unreasonable request. We may need to ask you specific information to help us confirm your identity to ensure the right to access your data. This is an additional security measure to ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to people not having the right to receive it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to keep it updated and to adapt it to any new mandatory regulations eventually implemented in the meantime. Any changes will be notified to the Data Subjects by publishing a new Privacy Policy on our website.

This Privacy Policy is effective as from 25.5.2018, superseding any other previously released Privacy Policy.
